Studio Information
I teach the piano so I can educate others how to play in a beautiful and professional manner and to enjoy the music they play. I feel there are many rewards to playing the piano and I want to be able to pass these on to others. First of all, playing the piano gives the student an appreciation for many kinds of music. Practicing the piano gives the student discipline and focused attention that also may be used in other areas of their life. Performing gives them a chance to develop poise in group settings and increase their self-esteem. Furthermore, the study of music increases the chances for the individual to have an involvement in music for the rest of his/her life.
I teach both children and adults who have a desire to learn and enjoy making music! I believe a well rounded music education includes many aspects of music like improvisation, music theory knowledge, performing, memorizing, ensemble playing, and technique.
I offer my students my undivided attention for their class time. I do my best to clearly and effectively present the material in a way that the student will understand and learn. I believe that learning can be enhanced when done in a group of peers and offer several group lessons every year.
